Bo Zaunders is a writer/photographer, based in New York City, specializing in food, wine, and travel. He is the Travel Editor for the magazine Nordic Reach, a writer/photographer for the travel site Luxury Web, and a contributing photographer to the Getty photo agency.
Bo was born in Sweden, and came to the United States in his mid-twenties. Working for Gilbert & Felix, a small advertising agency in New York City - from mechanical man to award-winning creative director - he began a career in advertising that lasted twenty years, several of which were spent in Europe, where he worked for Young & Rubicam in Stockholm, Madrid, London, and Paris. Then, having sold himself on Nikon - one of his major accounts - he started to freelance as a photographer, specializing in travel, food and wine.

Clients included Sidestreets of the World, Fine Wine Journal, Conde Nast Traveler, Wine Spectator, and other publications. He began writing travel articles to complement his photography, and became a steady contributor to World's Fare (Tribune Media Services International, syndicated service of The L.A. Times/Chicago Tribune). Other clients include Nordic Reach, National Geographic Traveler, The Underground Wine Journal, Sweden Traveler, LuxuryWeb, Scandinavian Review, Nordstjernan, Popular Photography, and several European magazines.
His photography has been seen in National Geographic, National Geographic Traveler, the New York Times, Gourmet, Travel Holiday, Newsweek, and many other publications. He has been profiled in Nikon World, and is a long-standing contributing photographer to the Getty photo agency (previously Corbis and the Stock Market).
Bo Zaunders has illustrated two children's books, written four nonfiction children's books (illustrated by his wife, Roxie Munro), and has done editorial illustrations for The New York Times Book Review, Smithsonian Magazine, Gourmet, Advertising Age, and Conte Nast Traveler. The Artist Mortimer, an animated interactive children's app (written, illustrated, and narrated by Bo), was published in 2012, and in 2017 a sequel, The Artist Mortimer 2, was published.
Bo lectures in schools and libraries, at conferences, and at the United Nations, as well as on Cunard's Royal Viking Sun, Crystal Cruises, Voyages of Discovery, and the Star Clipper. He lives in New York City.
